1. About these terms

RetailChecks Ltd ("we", "us") operates retailchecks.co.uk. By using the site or engaging our verification services you agree to these terms. Company enquiries for verification services are additionally governed by the service agreement issued at onboarding, which prevails where it differs.

2. The service

We provide right to work verification: share-code checks through the gov.uk online service and prescribed document checks under Home Office guidance, with audit-ready record-keeping. We are an independent verification service, not a law firm, and not part of the Home Office. Nothing on this site is legal advice.

3. Your obligations

• You confirm you are lawfully entitled to use our service for your employees and that all information you provide is accurate.
• You remain the data controller for worker data; we act as your processor under a data processing agreement.
• You will provide original documents or valid share codes as required for each check.

4. Fees

Fees are as quoted at the time of order (see the pricing page). The Home Office online checking service is free; our fees cover verification, record-keeping and audit support. Invoices are payable within 14 days. Volume pricing is applied retroactively from the first day of the month following the threshold being met.

5. Results and liability

Checks are completed with reasonable skill and care in accordance with Home Office guidance current at the date of the check. Our liability to you for any claim arising from the service is limited to the fees paid for the check in question. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

6. Intellectual property

The site, its design and content are the property of RetailChecks Ltd. You may not reproduce site content commercially without written permission.

7. Site availability

We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee it. We may change, suspend or retire parts of the site with reasonable notice where practical.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
